Asheville Girl’s Trip

Asheville Girl’s trip or bust! It’s a great place for a mother/daughter trip! Y’all…so many things to do! Literally we wished we would’ve scheduled another couple of days to be there. You’ll soon figure out the theme of what we did most!

Travel Day

When you set out for a road trip, regulating the temperature during travel can be tricky! So the perfect sponsor for our travel outfits was Cozy Earth. You see, I’m always cold and Alexa’s always hot! Cozy Earth’s clothing made from bamboo is temperature regulating allowing both of us to be comfortable! It kept me warm and her cool! The perfect comfy travel style. Cozy Earth also has bedding, loungewear, bath, clothing for men and women. I’ve gifted it to both my son and daughter and they love it! It makes a great gift for weddings, showers, birthdays, just because!

Check out Cozy Earth HERE. Oh and use my 40% Off Discount Code if you see something you want! BlessingAnnie40

We checked into the Fairfield Inn & Suites Asheville Outlets linked HERE … which we recommend for your stay! It’s a short drive from restaurants, shopping, hiking and all the things Asheville’s known for! And, it’s less expensive than staying downtown. Plus you get breakfast! Who doesn’t love that!

Day 1 of the Asheville Girl’s Trip

First stop was lunch at Salsa’s a Mexican restaurant with an eclectic cuisine and really yummy Margaritas! We started with an appetizer of Guacamole, Pineapple Chipotle Salsa and Smoked Salsa while sipping on Margaritas! For lunch, we shared a Flank Steak Quesadilla which was plenty for 2 people.

After lunch we explored downtown Asheville which has lots of cute shops. There’s plenty to see, explore and drink around the downtown area…so many breweries! Girls like beer too! And, there’s no shortage of shops if shopping is your goal.

You know we got thirsty after walking around downtown for several hours, so what’s a girl to do! I’ll tell ya! We stopped into The Social Lounge to try one of their Craft cocktails. We Googled “best place for cocktails and rooftop bars” and it popped up. I mean who doesn’t love an outdoor rooftop bar and a great cocktail?

We ended the evening at Leo’s Taste of Thirst on Haywood Ave. It’s located in West Asheville. Which by the way…don’t miss this area of Asheville for great restaurants. Leo’s describes itself as a wine bar that transports you while providing a story and experience. It’s truly a unique wine bar. Read more about Leo’s HERE.  We enjoyed a bottle of a Sparkling Wine and shared oysters, a small charcuterie board and a grilled cheese sandwich. The menu has a lot to offer from appetizers, salads, and main courses.

Let’s take a short commercial break! Our accessories for the evening were sponsored by Dolce Vita. If you need shoes and purses, Dolce Vita is your one stop shop! Check out Dolce Vita HERE.

Asheville Girl’s Trip included a Brewery Tour

We started Friday with a visit to Sierra Nevada Brewery. It’s a beautifully developed brewery with a gorgeous drive. The outdoor area has a family-friendly atmosphere as well as a great place for an afternoon gathering of friends. Sierra Nevada has a large indoor restaurant/bar area and a large outdoor dining/bar/relaxing patio area. There’s a playground for kids and games for adults. Read more about Sierra Nevada HERE.

Brewery

Our style was sponsored by Loft. Check out Loft HERE for your next travel adventure.

We didn’t visit Belgium Brewery but, one of my followers highly recommended it. And I must say, I’m sorry we missed it! Check out New Belgium Brewery HERE.

I know it seems like we ate and drank the whole time and we pretty much did…in moderation! Don’t you love trying different foods and drinks? I’ve never been on a girl’s trip that didn’t include great food and drinks.

Last stop of the afternoon was the Rooftop Bar at the AC Hotel. It’s a great place to look out over Asheville.

Friday Dinner

Friday evening we started at  Curate for appetizers & drinks and finished with dinner at Rhubarb’s. Highly recommend both of these places. And you must visit Crave dessert bar to satisfy your sweet tooth! Oops! Forgot to take a pic!

Saturday

We had breakfast at the hotel then went on a hike. There’s lots of great places to hike around Asheville. Check out this Asheville Hiking Site to find the trails that are best for you!

Our hiking style was sponsored by Spanx! Check out Spanx HERE. And yes, I forgot my hiking shoes so my pickleball shoes had to do! LOL!

We rewarded ourselves with a Bloody Mary and Brunch at Sunny Point Cafe We highly recommend this fun spot! We did have to wait 45 minutes but we enjoyed sitting outside sipping on a drink & listening to live music.

Outlet Mall Shopping

Just across from our hotel was the Asheville Outlet Mall. Some of the stores you could shop were Dillard’s Clearance Center, Crate & Barrel, Banana Republic Factory, JCrew Factory, West Elm Outlet, Restoration Hardware Outlet & many other clothing and accessory stores. So if you need a fill in activity or you just want to shop, this mall has all the faves.

Saturday Dinner

We finished our trip at Sunset Cocktail Terrace at Omni Grove Park Inn Unfortunately it was raining & storming so the view wasn’t great. But, you could still get a feel for how gorgeous the grounds are. It’s a must visit when in Asheville. Even if you don’t stay there, you can go and tour the grounds and enjoy the view. The drinks and food are pricey so you may want to grab something to eat before you go!

Our dinner style was sponsored by Loft & Dolce Vita. Unfortunately, both of our dresses are sold out but you can check shop Loft Dresses HERE. Here’s the Links to my Boots || Bag || Alexa’s Sandals || Alexa’s Bag

Sunday

We got up bright and early and headed home. It was just a 4 hour drive to Nashville and then I had a little under 3 hours back to Louisville after dropping Alexa off. Time together with my girl is always time well spent! Isn’t it fun to travel with your adult children? Our first Asheville girl’s trip is in the books!

Have you visited Asheville? What would you recommend doing there?
