Moreover, my friend and I loved listening to the history of the farm cottage! From dishes to bookcases to flooring and design details, it’s loaded with antiques and history! For instance, it’s actually the site of the second to last battle of the American Revolution! Let me tell ya, Mary is definitely a walking history book!

That’s to say, the quaintness of the stone cottage and it’s decor take you back in time! Mary will greet you, offer you drinks, and fill you in on all the things to do! A stroll around the property reveals the winding Stinking Creek, and not the little roadside creek you are envisioning. Quite the contrary, it’s very wide almost like a small river! And views of the scenic creek can be seen from a fire pit with seating, an outside dining area, and walks along the countryside! Most importantly you can fish and explore the entire property!
