Friday Faves from style to travel is packed full of fun! It’s been 2 longs weeks between blog posts! September is flying and I’ve been out of town for 2 of the last 3 weekends with 2 weddings squeezed in-between! And now it’s Fall Y’ALL! Geez…time sure flies when you’re having fun or is it the older you get the faster it moves! Asking for a friend, LOL!
So one of the most exciting thing to date that’s happened on Blessings & Sass! Yikes! Loft, yes THE LOFT Store, shared one of my IG Reels on their Instagram and Facebook Feeds! See it HERE and HERE I recruited my BFF, Carolyn, to do the try-ons with me shortly after my local Loft store had reached out and invited me to do try-ons.
No…you don’t need an invite to do try-ons in a store but I was flattered that they’d reached out to me. I think I may have had 5K followers at the time. The fact they even took interest was so flattering, So I did a few try-ons and I thought, how can I make these try-ons different from everything I was seeing on IG and how could I appeal to a wider range of women and be more size and body type inclusive? Then it hit me….talk my fun BFF into doing them with me! She loves to shop and have fun so I didn’t have to do to much convincing!
Fast-forward a year, and we got The Loft’s attention! When Loft shared my video on their social media accounts, the response has been amazing! The women have loved it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support! I truly appreciate you and a huge thank you to my friend, Carolyn for being a great fun friend! Travel
Friday faves from style to travel includes road trips! We’ve traveled to Niagara Falls, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and NYC this month! Besides travel, we’ll have attended 2 weddings! I’m exhausted but it’s all been so fun! Being busy makes the time seem like it flies for me! What about you!
We first visited Niagara Falls. I had never been! Have you? I highly recommend seeing it from both sides, US and Canada. On the US side you can get close enough on Goat Island to feel the power of the Falls. On the Canada side, the view of both Falls is spectacular. The town of Niagara isn’t great near the Falls. It’s kinda run down. And 1 full day at the Falls is enough to see everything.
We also spent a day in Niagara On The Lake. This town is so cute with over 125 wineries surrounding it. I highly recommend spending a day there and doing a wine tour.
When in Rehoboth, we visited all the cute little beach towns, Lewes, Bethany, and Dewey. So cute to walk the streets and pop into the shops. Did you know that Delaware doesn’t have any sales tax…on anything! Can you say Game-changer! There’s 3 Tanger Outlet Malls plus a host of boutiques in each of the beach towns. So if you need a break from the beach, there’s plenty of fun shopping available. And, lots of great restaurants you can experience. This is what we wore to the wedding while in Rehoboth.
Where Did We Stay, You Asked!
At Niagara, we stayed on the US side in a FairField Inn. I do recommend this hotel because you get free parking and the walk to the Falls isn’t that bad! Check it out Here There’s a beautiful new casino across the road. And better yet, it’s next door to the best Italian Restaurant that’s highly recommended by the locals.
When in Rehoboth, we also stayed at a Fairfield Inn. Check it out Here. You have to drive to get beach access but for us, it worked. We were there for a wedding and didn’t have much time to enjoy the beach. We just saw it. Proof below! NYC Whirlwind Trip
The trip to NYC was a super quick 2 day trip. We managed to pack in a lot of activities. Things I highly recommend…Walking Food Tour. We did the Chelsea Market Food Tour and it was fabulous. We did the Top View Hop on/Hop off at night. However, they didn’t let you hop off! It was fine by me! The purpose is to see the sights of the city all lit up which was beautiful. Here’s a few pics from our trip!
