Top 5 Travel Essentials You Need

Top 5 Travel Essentials you need; and I need coming in hot! Wow! We’re 90 days into 2023 and I’ve been gone half of them! When the year started, I didn’t plan on being gone that much, but it happened. Here’s the things I discovered I needed. How many of these do you have?

1. Travel Steamer

Oh my! I can’t tell you the last time I ironed! What about you? I actually have 3 steamers at home but never considered one for travel! One of them I could’ve taken but it’s too bulky for my suitcase and it spits! Ugh! Believe it or not..it has the most reviews and gets the top travel steamer on lots of lists! Hmmm! Something fishy…cause I don’t think it’s that great!

Here’s the 2 home steamers that I love! I have 1 in the lower level (basement) where all my clothes from brands are stored. And, the other one is in my laundry room because it’s much smaller, but so good!

I’ve had this steamer forever! Literally 10 – 15 years and it still works great! Shop HERE

I actually got this one because my future daughter-in-law requested the same one for Christmas and loves it! Shop HERE

I have the Hi Life Steamer but find that it spits water and is too bulky for travel. But it has over 93K reviews and is recommended for it! Hmm! The Polardo steamer is better for travel. But, it can usually only steam one garment with each fill.

2. Luggage Scale

It’s me, hi! I’m the problem, it’s me! Seriously! I had to pay the $79 at the airport because my luggage was 4 lbs. too heavy and I’d already put things in my backpack and my husband’s and in his suitcase. FYI: He wasn’t happy! Oh well! LOL! There was no place to go with it. Although, if I’d had a luggage scale I could’ve maybe resolved it at home. Yes, I’ve gotten on the scale with my luggage but that can be challenging and usually hotel rooms don’t have scales.

3. Pashmima

Ok just so you know…I call it a blanket but my friend calls it a Pashmina! LOL. Kinda the same thing! I use mine to cover up on the plane or in the car when traveling and it can be used as an extra layer, as a wrap, to keep you warm. Because it’s not bulky like a blanket, it doubles as a wrap or shawl. Unfortunately, mine was a gift and no longer available but here’s similar. All of these come in several colors

3. Shoe Bag or Covers

How many times do you wish you had something to cover your shoes? I know I do! Here’s 2 inexpensive options. I actually love the covers because you can also use them at home when someone in your family doesn’t want to take off their shoes off!!!!

4. Packing Cubes & Toiletry Cinch Bag

Have you tried packing cubes yet? I just started using them and I’m hooked! The rolling your clothes trick never really worked for me and it can take up space Although, I agree that you get less wrinkles. I’ve also discovered the toiletry cinch bag! The reason I love it is because you can leave your toiletries in it on the counter neatly standing in the bag and not spread out all over the place.

5. Great Luggage

I saw RollinK luggage on another content creator’s page and I was intrigued because it collapses! And, I’m thinking…ok is it really that good if it collapses? How sturdy can it be? To satisfy my curiosity, I reached out to them to check it out for myself. When I tell you that it’s so good! Believe it! First of all, it’s beautiful well-made luggage. It is very sturdy yet had some give to it when you’re packing. Hard to explain but you know when you’re trying to zip up a suitcase and you need to wiggle it a bit to get it closed as you’re zipping but you can’t? If you know, you know! I love that everything goes in one side. I never liked flipping 2 packed sides of a suitcase closed.

RollinK is durable, collapsible, and slim with 360 spinners. It collapses for easy and convenient storage. I’ve linked all the places that carry RollinK luggage. Check them out to compare prices. HERE, HERE, and HERE.

What are your travel must haves? I’d love to know!

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post!
